Hey guys..
If you have a fuel injected hornet 600...perhaps you can answer some questions
Low end grunt, is there a decent supply of low end from these?
ABS, does this work/feel any different to standard brakes?
All help is appreciated |

ABS won't be noticeable unless you get something very wrong, then it will do it's best to save your skin, literally
IL4's aren't amazing for low end grunt, but unless you're a fat bastard who lives in the hills it's unlikely to be an issue. |

I had a 2007 FI with ABS, I've also ridden a courtesy one without ABS
The brakes do NOT feel weaker at all on the ABS version, if anything the rear brake feels stronger as it also applies 1 piston on the front as well.
The ABS is however an older generation than the current sports ABS, and it noticeable when it kicks in (It judders).
The low down grunt is there, but not really that different from that years CBR 600RR (The engine is a detuned version of that years RR) There is less top end and a little more low and middle end grunt.
Overall I loved that bike, it was well balanced and a pleasure to ride.
If it hadn't been written off I'd still have it now
(If you get one and go for the gold one I've got a spare tank and rear seat cowl )
ETA: Yes the new shape one

I assume you mean the new shape, rather than 03-07 shape...
If you do want it, don't. It's ugly ____________________ '99 Hornet 600 , VFR 400 NC30 '92 , Kasawamasaki GT 550 , '98 Hornet 600

Not for me guys
Its for a friend at work karma given, great so far.
Ideally looking for the low end rapid acceleration, you know the type where you can be in 5th at 30, give it the beans and it just powers on up there.
More a sit up/speed four/hornet style...rather than arse in air sports |
