From your description I agree it sounds like a fuel issue.
Try a quick fix first.
Locate your airbox, where the air filter is and then the carb.
Buy a can of carburettor cleaner spray.
Remove the air filter.
Start bike and spray carburettor cleaner into the carb.
When revs start to die stop and rev (may need 2nd person to give you a hand).
Repeat until engine revs fully.
If this doesn't sort if then it's a carb out and clean job.
Be careful of the jets as they can be damaged. Do not start poking bits of metal down them (use air preferable, at a push use brass or plastic).
If you don't know what I'm talking about in the carb then go to the library and read a book. Or look on the likes of this site, Dan's Motorcycle Repair Course, or this one (click text for link). There's even YouTube videos that may help, like this one.
Once sorted make sure you get an in-line fuel filter fitted to try and stop crap (one of the technical mechanics terms for this) from getting into the carb from the petrol tank.

i agree, its fuel/carb, either way fuel isn't successfully getting into your cilinder* just a good clean of the carb and checking the fuel line should do the job ____________________ if it doesn't smoke, it's a joke... 2stroke for life bitch!!! |
