It's not recommended on most of the twin bike trailers because of the weight difference.
If you're able to move the strips along then it's fine, otherwise not sure I'd fancy chancing it unless you can put a load of bricks on the other side. ____________________ My Flickr |

This is the one I'm thinking of, it's not too far from me. Reserve is set at a realistic price which is a shame.
It'd probably need some sheet metal welding underneath the outside runners in that middle section in order to roll the bike on easily.
And I could potentially fit a third runner in the middle. Likely too close together to allow 3 bikes, but should be ok to make it a single OR two bike trailer.
Especially since I do actually have two off road bikes.
The bit that attracts me the most is the end of the trailer is flat, so I can store it on its end in the garage. It has indespention suspension units and looks fairly simple.
You can buy a solid runner with a front wheel lock for about £65 inc postage on eBay. So I could always buy one of those later on and fit it in the middle, but until then, just take both bikes out on it.

Gaz,
I've done it plenty of times, 1 bike on a 2 bike trailer where it is on one side. Makes no difference what so ever where the bike is on the trailer.
Hope this helps.

Get a horse box - a lot less worry about bikes falling over etc, too . But even more hassle to store, of course.
Personally, I'd save up and get a trailer that fits your needs if you're going that way.
A few interesting ones on [url=https://motors-parts.shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=%28single%2Cone%2C1%29+bike+trailer+-kit&_sacat=131090&LH_Price=30..200%40c&_odkw=%28single%2Cone%2C1%29+bike+trailer&_osacat=131090&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313]ebay/url]. |

It can be done without any problems with a zx6r, witness:

lol thats my old zx6r i wrote off and had to lay down on a 2 bike trailer to get it home from the recovery firm.
But seriously i'd just go for the single trailer if thats all you're ever likely to use |
