As per the title really, when turning left the handlebars judder, but not when going in a straight line or turning right.

At first i thought it would be the head bearings starting to go, or the rear wheel isn't aligned properly, but whilst giving the bike a clean this morning (well, my daughter was cleaning it, i just noticed a mark on the wheel) it looks like there could be a wheel weight has fallen off (see pics below)

does this sound like it could be the cause of the left hand bend juddering??

Many Thanks, Ol.

I'd suspect bearings more - unbalanced wheel judder tends to be dependant on speed not turning in my experience.

Check wheel and head bearings if you haven't.

Na, you wont feel the difference of having one less wheel weight at all.

As G said it could be wheel bearings or head bearings.

Thanks All – I’ll have a look at the head bearing when I’ve got a minute…

Tyre wear isn’t too bad, quite even I think – tho the rear is slightly squared off, not too bad though.

you're not even missing a wheel weight. they're all in the same place, and the strip is still attached.

To be honest, it did cross my mind that the left over strip thats been taken off could have been from last time the tyre was changed, but i'd have expected i'd have noticed when cleaning the bike before!

Wheel weights are not always fitted together, though really they ideally should be.
Ie, fitter puts a few on, spins wheel (or uses machine) again and finds it's still not in balance, but overall position of the balance has moved a bit with the first lot of weights.

Similarly, especially if doing it manually, it's not uncommon to see several weights stuck down next to each other not in a strip, as more are added.

However, yes, it does seem more likely they were there from a previous occasion.
