After seeing these things mentioned on here (somewhere). I decided for a fiver, I'd get some and see Thumbs Up

Anyway, they finally came through and I fitted them today. They are pretty basic, but they do the trick, deffo feel the heat even today (snowing!).

Being what they are, you can also run them of AC, so ideal for enduro bikes that don't necessarily have DC.

My WR (pics below) actually has DC system too, but chose to wire it up to the lights which are AC as I can't leave them on that way*!

So, for a fiver, gotta be recommended ... the delivery time was shocking though ... anyone know a UK stockist?!

*AC system that only generates when bike running

Did you actually have a problem with them? if so, what went wrong?

Dont worry Pinkfloyd ... its a medical thing.
I was with him when he had a particularly nasty fall from the bike .. hit his head hard ... and lost every last ounce of his sense of humour (he didnt have much in the first place, but!). Rolling Eyes

Been running these for a couple of years now.
But they cost us £25 Shocked Crying or Very sad .. so good find from China Thumbs Up

Joe's and Tatter's ran fine .... Philo's were ok ish ... Mine didnt work at all (but I think I may have damaged them when putting the grips on.
Did you do anything special when putting grips over the top ?

As the silky one said. I was just jesting.

On a serious note though. I'm impressed that they actually work. I remember seeing the old thread for these a few weeks back and at that price I would have been weary of using them myself in fear of the picture I used.

I put them OVER the grips ... 2 reasons ... 1 is I'd never get the grips over them!! Laughing and 2, they are bound to be low power, so by putting them OVER the grips and simply using the heat-shrink as the new grip, I get an insulated under and therefore max heat outer!! Thumbs Up

It also means they are easy to remove if they go faulty! Wink

I am thinking of doing away with the silly little switch that is already falling apart and bound to cause problems when wet ... and just putting a bullet connector in there Thinking

Compressed air is the easiest way of getting the grips on/off the bars if you put the heaters under the grips there's plenty of videos on YouTube that show you how to do it

That's exactly the reason I put mine over.

They are damn good. I've not had a ride yet that my hands have felt cold, and as Blue said, you can feel the heat, a lot. I've even had occasions where they've been too hot and I've had to turn them off.

I've not had any issues with the the switch though and I've been using them for over a month.

Got mine, not fitted yet due to The End of the World. Definitely planning to fit them on top of the grips.

They look decent enough, but the wires aren't very long - I suspect I'll have to splice in some extra length to fit them on my cruiser bars.

I brought THESE.

I had my offer of £4 for two sets accepted and they took about 10 days to turn up. I copied the suggestion from a thread on here for fitting a two way switch to give full and half power settings. Worked well.

My £2 bid was declined Sad

Still, I'll likely buy some for the Husqvarna at some point.

I haven't got a bike yet but would you recommend them? Is it worth it for £5 or below?

They seem pretty decent for £5! Easy enough to set up I'm guessing? Where abouts does the switch go?

Wherever you want (assuming in radius of wires!

I bolted mine to the front brake master cylinder bolt.

Well I don't think that could have failed harder.

Just seeing how the wires would fit and one of the wires snapped off one of the heated pads. Will have to re solder when I find my soldering iron and solder.

The wires are quite thin.

I managed to fit mine under my grips and out of sight. Changed the terrible switch it comes with straight away though!

Mine also came with black heatshrink. Bought 2 pairs of grips for £8.
