Well just back from a run ended in the sea up top my knees (Long Story) but now got my boots upside down on the radiator in the house, any quicker ways to dry them as need them the morrow.

The only other suggestion I could think of was to slap one on the end of the exhaust ?

Stuff them full of newspaper and put them somewhere warm.

Screw up the paper into fairly tight balls and stuff as many in as you can. Do not use direct heat (eg on a radiator), just a warm place (eg airing cupboard). Leave for at least 24 hours.

Could probably replace the newspaper after 8 or so hours if you want speed it up slightly (although I suspect it only speeds it up slightly)

Hair dryer alternating between cold and warm - not full heat.

I always stick mine on the top shelf in the airing cupboard, usually dry the next morning.
I keep the door open a tiny bit, I feel this helps move a bit of air around, probably does sod all to help but gives me hope.

DEFINITELY stuff'em with newspaper or they tend to shrink as they dry.
Forced heat will make them hard and crack, and the faster you dry them worse they'll be (if leather) If they are modernish boots with lots of armour and re enforcement, then be very wary about force drying, as the plastic and metal will not move lile the leather or textile will, as the water comes out, plus heat, can build up in metal and can distort plastic.
Always best to dry at room temperature if you can.
Always re 'proof' them with leather conditioner and then fabsil or nickwax or similar to re water proof.

Bear in mind they are going to fucking stink once they are dry. When this happened to my boots I sprayed anti perspirant inside them to try and get rid.

stick 'em in a bag in the freezer over night, then take em out and let them normalise then get some old socks and fill them with some cheap loose tea and add a few drops of tea tree oil, tie the ends off and stick them in the boots over night and furthermore leave in the boots whenever your not using them.

Thats to stop the odour not the wetness btw Mr. Green
