I was wondering what is the best way to go about painting an exhaust pipe?
Can I just simply remove it from the bike and paint it? Or do I have to sand anything? I have absolutely no idea
Thanks in advance! ____________________ Currently own a Honda NSR 125. |

If its just mild steel then maybe sand any rust off (use wire wool/brush or sand paper whatever) if there is any.
Look for a specific type of heat resistant paint doesn't have to be exhaust specific, for example on my Varadero used to use a can of matt black designed for painting chimney sections covered up to 1500 degrees I think.
Right now doing the CBR headers, just sanded a little rust off them and sprayed two coats of VHT matt black, no need for primer with that stuff but check the back of the tin/can before use some may require a primer. ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...
