Hi,

I've tried a search for this and haven't found anything yet. Anyone got any tips for rust in fuel tanks? It's not too bad, just the bag a bolts i chucked in and swirled around in brake cleaner hasn't done the trick. I'm going to try some Oxalic acid solution and leave in the tank for a while... Anyone tried this?

thanks! Smile

Karma ( sorry admin ) hi dude,

water getting in somehow, past rubber seal.........

when tank flushed ( and plumming, tap etc, then carb ) try to see if the small vw type petrol filter will fit tween tank and carb, these will stop all crap ( even water ) from getting to the carb.

have fitted these to bikes for years now, they work with no problems for gravity feed systems but didnt on my kwak750, which had vaccum tap ( it did work on prime position though ).
