Posted this over o bandit forums as well however looking for a second opinion so over the last 2-3 days and 200 miles tapping from the engine has appeared and just after a 50 mile run seems quite loud, the cam chain tensioner was just replaced so would it be the tappet clearances ?

Video if it helps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esDYSRXy_L0

I have already checked the spark plugs / headers etc and no air leaking.

I have dropped it off to the garage who think the same as me it may be the tappets needing adjusted.

They will be looking at it in Sunday/Monday just looking for piece of mind.

can you pinpoint its origin by casting an ear over it?
It does sound like tappets, quite bad at that mind, but does it seem louder at the cylinder head than say, the bottom end or gearbox area.
Might help you, perhaps.

Checked with a socket extension and it appears to be coming from the head, more from the 2 centers

Well i'd get on with getting it checked. Best case that'll be it, worst case you can at least know for sure its not the typical story.

Maybe about to drop a valve right through your piston. Might be hitting your piston already? Oo
