No1 son riding home from work tonight. He dropped down from 4th to 2nd for a roundabout and as he let the clutch out it all went wrong. I'm wondering if he actually hit 1st by mistake and over-revved the engine.
The middle of the plug is completely missing, one valve disintegrated, piston holed and barrel scratched so its probably going to be cheaper just to replace the engine

Could there be any damage to the bottom end of the engine after this?
Just trying to decide whether to change the entire engine or just the top end

Hi thanks for the reply
It came out of a TMEC Enduro, 125. 2008 model with 8500 miles on the clock.
I've picked up a replacement engine today out of a Skyjet 125 with 1000 miles on the clock for £150. Got everything ready to run and just found out that No1 Son has taken his bike keys to work so I've got to wait until later to fire it up Mad

Thanks for the advie, but having driven 4 hrs to collect the engine and changing it I was ready for a break.

Anyway he got home at 10:00 last night and the enging fired up lovely. Just need to make sure everything is ok on a road test today.

Biggest issue I can see is that the clutch lever is in a slightly different place so the cable I have is too long. I think either knotting it, or cutting and soldering will do the job
