They aren't relays you are describing they are resistors and a complete waste of time IMO.
The reason LED bulbs flash flasher is because they draw less power which is good! However they flash faster as a result. You have but resistors in each circuit which resists the current to so down the flash. Essentially you are just making the indicators draw more power to flash at a better rate.
It would have been better to change the flasher relay for a better one that works based on time not on the draw for power.
A quick Ebay finds this.

For an extra few quid you could have a solution that plugs in, would have taken minutes to fit and you wouldn't have had to hack up your loom. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

Put incandescent bulbs back in, clamp your hand directly over a bulb, turn them on and see how long it takes to say "Ouch".
You've just moved that heat to the resistors.
