Today i binned the 748 Sad The plastics are repairable, but i want to get a cheap Chinese set to keep on for the road in case it happens again and to have on the bike whilst the others are getting repaired (its my only transport). I can also use the Chinese set for track days so i think its a good idea to have them for £300.

My question is what set should i get?

As the bike was before today Sad

i like standard to be honest i think their nice Thumbs Up

if i didn't have standard for any reason i would get the Infostrada set Thumbs Up

where you getting the fairings from, if you are getting them off eBay just be careful, some can be poorly made, with rubbish graphic's so just check their feedback Very Happy

cool battle scars

To be fair i said original - however as you know the early classic scheme is the desirable one (916 anyway) so unless you are going to replace with genuine and in the original style then resale will suffer to a certain extent.
On the upside 748's are quite cheap to buy compared to the 916 so get which ever floats your boat.

I am going to get the original Ducati fairing professionally repaired in the original decals as per the first picture. The main thing is i plan to keep those good once they are repaired, hence running cheap fairings day to day and for trackdays.

The plan if i was to get the Corse fairings was to get some vinyl for the tank to match it.

Infostrada would look best with red solid tank.

I'd leave it as is though.

Funnily enough after seeing that I'm thinking definitely Infostrada Confused

This shows the futility of asking the good folk of BCF about this sort of thing...beauty is in the eye of the beholder Laughing

Got to pick the one you like and not worry about what other people would pick.

ouchy ! Thats a heck of a lot of damage !

Yeah, the fairings i got are well worth it for the money, look at the comments i made about not having the rear bolt section fitted when they made it...

Fairings are holding up great months after buying them, only slight chipping of the paint near the dzus holes for mounting them.

Made of slightly more flexible plastic, imo may be "cheaper" but has a bit more give....

Screen fitment was a cnut, holes wouldnt line up....

If you buy from the Australian firm i bought mine from all the taxes are paid up front, even though they get them made from in china :/

One point if your thinking of getting them imported in is...

Ask them loads of questions about other decals on it, on the pics i couldnt see what was on the tail end till they told me it said "748"etc..

I got them to change it for a "916".

Glad to see you didnt damage the lights... real pain to get hold of a cheap set Shocked

The rossi rep is quite nice and iirc they do have other ones then just the info and foggy rep...

Before going for Chinese fairings try giving Russ @ Ducati Mondo a call and tell him Philly sent you. He'll look after you and bend over backwards to sort shit out.

You're not the first person to say that and I always struggle to see how, they don't look bad, but they do look like squinting ducks. You sure they don't just look nice because they are usually parked next to one of these monstrosities?

First of all, how refreshing you calling your fairing a fairing, not fairings. Thumbs Up
As we know a bike can have only one fairing.

Are there only two options other than the original?

If so I'd go for the first choice.
