hi,

My ninja keeps wheel spinning when i'm at full throttle in first and second gear, around 8K rpm..... and its getting annoying Sad

Is this likely to be a problem with the bike?? or just that the tyres aren't up to the job? i'm running bridgestone 010's. i've done around 300 miles on them

either way i'm changing them for dragon evos Laughing

Unless the roads are very wet of icey there is no way a 600 will spin up a bt010 just off the throttle.

You will find its more like your clutch is slipping.

Lastly bt010`s are stickyer than dragon evo corsas.

Sounds like the clutch to me, I'm getting some clutch slip which at first felt like the wheel was spinning up.

does it spin in a straight line or are you just cack handed coming out of bends with too much gas

do you have any free play in the clutch lever

sounds like a damping problem to me to, get it sorted mate before you get dumped in a ditch. what's probably going on is your back wheel is skipping under power nice light bike plus lots of power needs lots of control!

Hi

Assuming it isn't the clutch (and when it bites again it could loosen the rear wheels grip) then I would say there is a problem with the rear suspension. Probably lost most of the damping, either compression or rebound (but check nobody has been fiddling with the adjusters), possibly with the spring would up too hard.

All the best

Keith

Hmmmm.
Presuming it is the rear wheel spinning and not the clutch...
Supercorsa's will probably make it a lot worse while the tyre's cold and it's harder to get them warm. So do becareful with the right hand coming out of corners if it's doing it with 010s at the moment.

Check your linkages - they would have all been undone to be transferred to a new engine and frame, so the shop could have done them up too tight or with too little lube, meaning your shock isn't moving much.
