I'd suspect you won't need a BIOS update but if you do
you could create a boot CD and load it from that or possibly from a memory stick
now the thing is I'm not sure if you can get to the Bios if it can't use the processor without the update
but it does seem to have a different Bios configuration than normal
here's the the homepage https://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z68_DELUXE/#specifications
it does say it can take your i5 ____________________ I have become comfortably numb

I've only ever had flat out compatibility issues with AMD board/cpu combinations, and in those cases it generally means the machine will flat out refuse to post until you pop in an old CPU and update the board. Handily a decent portion of motherboards can be flashed from within the bios these days simplifying things massively.
I can't say I've ever needed to flash an intel board for compatibility mind, before you start sweating it, perhaps fire off an email to scan and see if they know. A search around the big hardware forums might be wise too ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

According to various forums, the mobo I have is the GEN 3 which mean it already comes shipped with the latest BIOS update which supports ivy bridge so it SHOULD work.
Their have been issues but I have learnt how to flash a bios just using a usb stick.
All is well.
Now....what GFX card. |
