Throttle sticking would be my starter for 10.
First off, check you put the throttle valve back in the right way round. Cutaway to the rear. Also make sure the throttle needle hasn't come adrift when you put it back in, there isn't much holding it in place, if you didn't get it cleanly down the main jet when you put it back together, it can push up into the middle of the throttle body.
If you take the carb rubber off, you'll be able to see the throttle valve moving as you open and close the throttle.
Other potential causes are things like the cable having come off its runner in the twist grip and a poorly routed cable. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

It could also have been the fuel tap, on my former bike GPz550 the faulty fuel tap (blocked with dirt), did caused cutting out + I had dirty tank breather, if I rode it in high revs a while, it caused the same thing ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
