Down gearing? Good move. Thumbs Up

Demon Tweeks aren't the cheapest, but they normally get the correct order to you fairly quickly.

What do you mean by 'cut the chain' ?, the guy on the phone from demon tweeks said something about a 122 link chain, which is longer so i can remove links Confused .

You can cut the chain to the correct length yourself if you have access to an angle grinder, just make sure you cut it the right length and not to short Smile.

Basically, you fir the new sprockets, set the rear wheel adjustment to the closest it can be, then work out hoe long you need to cut the chain to have it have the correct amount of movement in it that you normally have. If in doubt, seek a second view on it. Smile

Or for a bit of cash in hand a bike shop mechanic will happily do it for you as cash in hand they don't need to put through the tills and pay vat. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Its not bodging it, on the ZX6R we did that, then cut the chain very very carefully to the corrct length, checked it was right, then fitted it as well as it can be fitted without a chain tool and then rode it gently to the local shop who did it with thier chain tool Very Happy (they even did it for free Thumbs Up Thumbs Up ). When you are riding it gently I suspect it would be damaged or worked to come off the sprockets if you have a sudden change in acceleration so basically just do everything as gently as you can.

When you are cutting it to the correct length you only need to be cutting the side link bits and no deeper than that as you'll damage the other bits of the chain.
