Left and right bends

Is it just me or do you have a natural preference to left or right bends. I am finding that on a nice sweeping A road doing 50-60 mph I have a definite preference for chucking the bike into right handers, whereas I would be knocking off 5mph or so for a similar left hander. Would be interested to see if its a newbie thing or just me.

For right handers you can get as far left as you can to see the bend.
With left handers you need to be on the centre line (or over it) for the same sort of view. This can be tricky psychologically with the danger of oncoming traffic. Could explain why a right handed bend/curve is easer.

I tend to fall off equally as much going left as I do going right. I have no preference as to which side of my body I bruise.

Is there any correlation between bends and whether you are left or right handed?......of course, who gives a feck right, but just wondering.

I'm right handed, coming out a left hand bend you use your right arm to pull the bike up, so consequently I lean more on lefts as it's easier to pull it up than right hand bends which rely on my weaker left.

......feck, am I talking crap again. I'm sitting at the PC pretending to go round bends, I now think I push the bar up more with the lower hand (so left hand on left bends, right hand on right).

I can think of some sweeet left and right hand bends. Balls. Don't know, not going to discriminate, luv them all

Rights, because I feel like I can see more of the road. On lefts I feel like I don't know what's coming. I don't know why, I don't have the same problem in the car.

Never gave much thought to this subject myself. Left, right, they're all the same. Just go naturally with the flow of the road and lay of the land. After all, you could be in a left on flat country with visibility for miles in all direction. Would you still take lefts more hesitantly?

The side of my tyre that has fewer chicken strips is more likely to be decided by how many left or right turns my commute involves.

TBH I feel like there's something I'm not grasping about this topic but IMO it sounds a lot like the countersteering hoo-haa, in the sense that it's something natural/unconscious that's being thought about too much.

The only difference i've noticed is for right handers I may forget to change my approach position to the left of my lane so be forced to take them slower. For right handers I'm always going to be approaching in the right of my lane.

I don't think being left or right handed would make any difference, wether your left or right eyed may do or if you're cross lateral and say right handed but left eyed. If you want to know which eye is dominant,cut a small hole in a bit of paper and put a coin on the floor, look through the hole (holding the paper at arms length) then close your right eye, if the coin disappears your right eyed, if the coin is still visable then left eyed.
