For those who saw my thread about the scrotes on the stolen scooter who were in my drive trying to nick my bike - just got a letter from the police.

They never caught the passenger, the one who was down my drive, but the rider of the scooter was pissed at the time, so they got him for that.

£120 court costs, £250 fine, banned from driving for twelve months. Bit poor to be honest, but better than if I'd just gone inside and not pursued them further.

At least I know who they both are now.

Daniel Speight is the name of the rider. From Leeds, that's all I know - police letter doesn't tell you much!

The second one is a bit of conjecture on my part, and whilst he is a known scrote, I couldn't say on my life it was 100% him.

For trash like 'im a ban of any length of time means precisely nothing, he'll be out nicking and riding later the same day as the court appearance...........neither will he pay the fine or the costs.....it's all bullshit to placate the public, to make them believe they've had a result !. The twat wants'taking around the back' and being given a good seeing to, interpret that as you wish !.

Possibly same chap (don't blame if it isn't!)

https://www.linkedin.com/pub/daniel-speight/26/679/390

Note, I also found: thesoftcity.co.uk/ (no address details in whois), but that appears to be by a different Daniel Speight based in London, according to his blog (thesoftcity.blogspot.com/).
