It's where you fit the power band to.

^ That Thumbs Up , it links a tube to one side to the powerband actuator, the other side of that goes to the expansion chamber, usually 2/3 the way down it.

Usually aftermarket systems do not have this so you just blank it off. You will need the powerband actuator though otherwise it won't give you any power whatsoever. If you can't find them for sale, ring DEP pipes, they sell them as their expansion chambers make full use of them. Bought one for my RS125, cost £6 IIRC.

Excuse me if I slip into technical jargon but it's the whatsit that fits to the thingy so the whatyamacallit works. Please don't mix up whatsit and whatyamacallit though, it's easily done. Of course you could always fit a dooda instead.

Hope mechanics speak that makes it clear Wink

It looks suspiciously like a gozonti adapter for a 1998 R1?

It the flange pipe vacuum take off for the electricity pump. It's the supply that charges the battery so if it's not connected the battery won't charge.

It's so you can connect vacuum guages so that you can balance your carb.

It's the air injection port nozzle into the intake manifold.

It's normally blanked off for a smoother midrange, but if you leave it open you will find it allows extra air into the engine for noticeably more power and higher top speed when you go down hill at full throttle once over 50mph! Thumbs Up

vacuum pick up for the fuel tap?, its too big to be oil by the looks of it.

If the picture is for an aftermarket manifold it could be for one of those boost bottle things.
