Hey,

I was adjusting the chain tension on my ybr 125 2008 model, I never tried spinning the rear wheel freely before I adjusted the tension so am not aware if it's something I did to screw the bike up or if it's meant to rub.

basically the underside of the chain rubs part of the frame you can see from the images attached the part it rubs already seems to have indents where the chain lines up but this could of been caused by chain rubbing itself. I couldn't see any real way to getting it higher even with crazy chain tension.

Would it be rubbing on the swingarm where there is a plastic type thing stuck on it that is designed for the chain to rub onto that instead of the swingarm in order to protect the swingarm?

Ah such ninja edit Razz

Yes as above... that's designed to protect your swingarm from your chain, nothing to worry about

Ah yes, ye olde dark wax trick. You'll want to know how to remove all ye olde sawdust from the engine oil next Shocked

I'd run that one through the winter and fit a decent one in the spring once the salt's gone. Always a bonus when the spring clips been fitted correctly though Smile

Use chain lube not human excrement on your chain.

You know you can wash a chain right?

Paraffin (4 L for £6 in B+Q, sold as lamp fuel), a bowl and a paintbrush...

Just saying.

When you sit on the bike, the swing arm will come up, stopping the chain rubbing there.

The chain should only rub when the rear suspension is unloaded.
