Thanks!
Got the forks on, seemed too easy so I'm hoping I haven't missed something...

As my luck would have it, the front brake doesn't seem to fit...So I'm pretty confused. It's about 4-5mm out, Any ideas?

Can bend the frame back into position using some scaffold poles and pulling it.
What happens when you wheelie a road bike with the subframe all in one.
Also order a new silencer soon or if you have a spare, even better. As your exhaust will eventually start blowing / snap clean due to the bending.
P.S need to get proper bolts for the front caliper, them Allen key bolts are useless. Had some on my caliper, they came lose. Luckily I noticed before riding otherwise my front brake would have failed, or thrown me over the handlebars... |

Breakdown cover brought her back home today, will get some pictures up soon. A brief inspection turned up a snapped powervalve cable, but i'm struggling to believe the powervalve would cause seizure.
It's gonna be tough to keep up the motivation, I even ended up looking at driving lesson prices last night |

Haha I've taken the advice and ordered an engine...should be here tomorrow!
Plan is to simply swap engines and rebuild the original over the course of a month or two. How hard can it be right? |

have you decided on which method your using yet? im doing a conversion myself and im looking for either a bracket for the caliper or some dtx forks and im interested in buying whichever method you dont use, if you want to sell that is.
just another question about your rims, where did you get them laced on to the hubs? as one plan is to lace my excel front rim onto a dtr hub so they just bolt on but by the looks of things its different spokes?
cheers in advance for any help / tips ____________________ 2 rs 125's, 5 engines... 3 dt 125's 3 engines.. |

Hi,
I went with the conversion bracket as I needed to free up some cash and sell the forks. If you plan on buying DT X forks then make sure you get the standard front brake bracket with it as they cost about £50 from Yamaha.
The wheel combo was ready made and on Ebay, I think the rims are from a WR 125.
Sorry for the lack of updates for those that are interested, i'm learning as I go which includes making the odd mistake on the engine. |

Okay cheers I was just hoping you hadn't used the bracket and would be willing to sell it lol. I'm having My front dtx rim laced onto a dtr hub so they're just one off one on might phone Yamaha first and see if they do a bracket to put the brembo 2 piston caliper on the dtr forks for better braking. (Or if anyone reading this has one for sale then that would be ideal. Il also be after the caliper if anyone has both but I won't be buying the caliper until I can get hold of a bracket aswel.) ____________________ 2 rs 125's, 5 engines... 3 dt 125's 3 engines.. |

What mistake did you make on the engine for it to seize?
Did you forget to fill your gearbox oil up after dropping it or something?
Can get engine fully rebuilt and resprayed for about £350 by a guy in Notts. |
