Any plans to get your tests done, or are you going to be fiddling with that tiddler for a while yet? Nothing wrong with that, it's just that bigger bikes are actually easier to ride. Everyone says it, nobody believes it. Whistle

I definitely will do at some point in the future, will have to save some dollar for that though.

Think I will be on my tiddler for a while yet though, although I actually have hardly be on it at all since passing my CBT, thanks to the utterly shite weather!!

I have however been sitting staring forlornly out of the window at it and wondering if the mere act of me passing my CBT has brought about this monsoon like deluge we are currently experiencing! Crying or Very sad

Get out in the rain you'll learn a lot and with the amount of dry days in our lovely nation you may as well get used to wet, wild and slippery riding

Hello and welcome
thought I'd say that as I am fairly new myself and it felt good when others did it for me Laughing
The advice you will get on here is good, there are so many experienced bikers although they will go off topic very quickly as you may have already noticed Rolling Eyes
As already mentioned it is true the bigger the bike the easier it is to ride, I didn't believe it until I passed my test and bought my first bike. Wish I had done it decades ago Sick
So get saving and post more pics of your umm bikes Very Happy

I do want to get my full test done in the not very distant future, so will start saving Smile

I only have one bike, unless a pic of my bicycle counts?? Confused

Wet isn't too bad, just avoid any metal road coverings like the plague and increase your stopping distances.

The worst thing (IMO) is tailgating drivers who don't know (or care) that we have to go much slower in the wet on roundabouts or tight bends. The thing is, sporting L plates just make that worse, which it's an idea to get shot of them ASAP.

Even if you don't immediately do a taught course leading to a category A test, you can pass the A1 tests on your own CBR. It'll only get you an A1 license to ride 125s, but you can bin the L plates and take motorways or a pillion if you want. It should also give you plenty of confidence that the A tests will just be a formality - it's exactly the same tests on a bigger, more capable bike.

Sorry, going a bit Teffers. I rode a 125 for a year, it's great fun, no kittens will be harmed by enjoying it.

This may help you.

Obviously you will need to find a training centre near you though.
