 |
|
My new bike has a slight weave at around 85, which is just around the speed I like to sit at on my private test track
It only does it when I have the top box on. It's not really bad but it would be nice if I could get rid of it.
I know little about the workings of suspension but was wondering if adjusting the preload up or down a bit might help.
Anyone with any knowledge care to offer an opinion?

Thanks guys, I thought as much. TBH I only keep the topbox on to sling my helmet in while I'm at work, can just as easily take it in with me. to you both ____________________ Yamaha RD50M, Honda C90, Yamaha RS100, Yamaha RD125LC, Honda XL125 V9 Varadero, Honda NT700VA, Honda VFR800X, Honda CRF1000L, Honda ST1300 Pan European |

The top box (weight thereof or aerodynamic effects of) could be exacerbating a problem that would otherwise go unnoticed. I would thoroughly check the following:
Wheel alignment
Wheel balance and bearings
Suspension condition and function
Tyre pressures and condition
