Can you put some benchmarks up? Ideally for some cross platform tool. I have a server with an i5-4670K with a marginal overclock. Occasionally it needs a bit horsepower, but for the most part it sits idle.
It's a media server (PLEX), but this server also does download, unpacking and tidying up automatically. Some of which can be intensive. I rarely transcode, as most of the files I have, are in the correct format I need or are converted on the way in.
I was also looking at the ML110-G7 with the E3-1220 too. ____________________ Currently: Yamaha DT 125 LC2,Repsol Fireblade, and Bumblebee MSX 125 |

Might have a punt, I've got 2x4GB ECC ram laying around. Plenty of drives, the add-on hardware raid card is cheap too.
Can only see a cashback for £165, still cheap but would like to save the extra £15
I MIGHT be able to find some iLo advanced licences too ____________________ Currently: Yamaha DT 125 LC2,Repsol Fireblade, and Bumblebee MSX 125 |
