Need some opinions on what you think the best chain lube on the market is at the moment. Need it to stick to the chain and not splattered all over the rear wheel etc.

Cheers.

If you use engine/gear oil, most of it will end up on your jacket. Razz

Putting it on your chain is hardly exposing you to dangers.

Old engine oil is fine if used sparingly, so as not to cause splatter.

Which is exactly what I've been doing. However it would be great if there was a product which lubed the chain and didn't fling half the worlds oil output over the back wheel and tyre!!

I put some on a rag and wipe the chain over with the rag. If it's splattering, you're using too much.

I dribble a load on a car wash sponge ( the cheap shite ones that are 4 for £1 or whatever) and then you can regulate how much you put on the chain, as well as mop excess up.

Can't say I've ever flinged it up the back wheel, over my jacket, covered the moon in it or anything like that. Thumbs Up

Clearly a gap in the market but cannot decide whether to call it "Oilpal" or "Chainpal"

I have a £20ish Loobman on the way. Will report back when I have it installed and working -

now...."Loobpal". That would be a good name

Never had an issue with them. The trick is to throw the dual feed head in the bin and have the hose drip onto the rollers.

Sounds good to me, especially the 'cheap' aspect! Also, if it is super sticky, I would hazard a guess that it wont spray up and around everywhere. Win-win.

No, this is useful. The fling removes the dirt, keeps it clean. Use more. Tiny bit of oil does not reduce grip

nevertheless I clean any over spray , drips, contamination; or the like; off with a rag and petrol .. allowing to dry over nigh before use.

but please keep me updated as to how exactly that goes for you ...
