Most modern motorcycles will use thinwall cable which has a multistrand copper core.
If it's for electronics, it needn't be particularly thick.
I would suggest using crimps to join it. These should be applied with the correct crimping tool.
A solder splice with shrinktube over the top is also appropriate.
Twisting them together then wrapping them in PVC tape or screwing them into a chocblock type connector is not ok on vehicle wiring. It WILL fail. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
