I have recently just had my steering bearings changed and there is still a slight wobble at very low speed 5to10mph but no wobble at higher speeds than that at closer inspection I have noticed that the brake is sitting on the disc. Could this be to do with it have they aligned my wheel wrong

Is the caliper touching the disc edge?
Has the tyre been fitted correctly and wheel balance?
It could be a rear wheel problem!

Yes mate it's rubbing on it I have lifted the bike up and it's making a noise when you spin the wheel and you can see it touching it

So it's definitely the caliper touching the disc and not just the pad?

Nasty - did they put some spacers back in wrong, maybe?

I meant pad sorry. New to learning about bikes clearly lol. Just never noticed it before then to say I have had new steering head bearings it certainly shouldn't have a slight wobble. Even though it does sort itself out once your going passed 10mph

Single disc?
What bike?

This 'Wobble' is it on the brake, or the steering?

Caliper bolts to fork; disk to wheel; pads 'should' sort of touch the pads in the caliper, there should be space above disc between pads before caliper.

Wheel alignment/spindle-spacers would alter where the wheel sits between the disc, side-to-side, not the height of caliper up-and-down.

If its a floating caliper... ie only one or one pair of pistons driven by the hydraulics, so the driven piston pushing against disc pulls the caliper over to press other pad against disc from the back; then a sticky float mount, dirty, rusty or worn float-pins, then the caliper can be reluctant to move and when brake released leave usually back, non piston side pad rubbing slightly on disc.

IF the disc warped... then wobble on the disc will push the pads further apart than they would if true., and give a take-up lag when you brake, as well as pulsating brake pressure.

Released, you'd also probably get a knock or wobble on the brakes, as the wobly disc tries to shove the caliper side-to-side- as the wheel turns, which would be more pronounced if floating caliper and float mounts old and sticky.

If the caliper is resting on the disc.... as in the body of the caliper has dropped up-down-wise.... then ???? Caliper-Mounts, wheel bearings, what else would let caliper go that far down or wheel come up so far?

IF, the 'wobble' is in the steering... and head-races just changed... probably the first suspect, but last to be looked at is the front tyre.

Before headrace bearings chanced, there was probably some side to side and up and down 'play' on the whole forks; that would likely exacerbate tyre wear and uneven wear; that p[lay removed by new bearings, the tyre could be trying to 'track' on old wear ridges, causing wobble.

Headrace bearings, should also be re-checked and pre-load adjusted after about 100-200 miles, as they bed in... has this been done yet?

Lastly? If head-race bearings replaced; what about wheel bearings?

If the headrace bearings worn, then the wheel-bearings will have likely been taking an extra hammering from any slop in the stem; headrace bearing play could let wheel go high, which 'might' pit disc closer to caliper; but again, would be prime candidate for any 'wobble' in the steering, which would be most noticeable at walking pace type speeds.

More investigation, and better description required, possibly photo's.

History, vis work done in headrace replacement, may or may not have any influence on the matter; so first rule of diagnostics; dont go by what was, go by what IS, clean sheet, fresh eyes; go by what you see, here and now, dont let that be blind-sided by assumptions and presumptions from what might be or has been.

It's a rieju rs3 lc pro 125 2015 model. No wheel bearings weren't changed and the steering bearings were only changed yesterday. I am getting 2 new tires next Friday so might change the bearings aswell. It's the steering itself almost like it's steering left to right itself at low speeds but at higher speeds If I take my hands of the handlebars it's fine obviously I do this cautiously. I'm suppose to he travelling 40miles tomorrow and don't want to end or with a fucked up day

That steering wobble sounds to me more like tyre and/or or wheel bearings.

Ah. I have a couple of those out at the back. Steering head bearings replaced, wobble, stops with hands off bars?

Perhaps after the bearings were replaced, the whole steering head was put together slightly twisted. Your hands on the handlebars correct the pull to one side, which re-exerts itself, then repeat. Just a thought.

EDIT: they're taper roller bearings. Perhaps the steering head needs adjustment?

Probably just need tightening to the correct torque.

Pads resting lightly on the disc is normal. If it is dragging badly then the caliper likely needs some TLC.
