 |
|
Another wreck, this one has some small frame damage, not disclosed, so not written off.
When whoever did whatever, the steering was turned hard right, breaking off the lock stop on the bottom yoke (yet another one!), but worse putting a small dent in the outside apex of the offside triangular cross-section top frame tube, as if someone had pushed the ball of their thumb into it by about 1mm.
Unfortunately, the dent is right in the middle of the VIN sticker!
A full frame where the VIN sticker can be seen as well as the frame tube arrangement is pictured here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RIEJU-RS3-125-FULL-FRAME-WITH-V5-REG-PLATE/283235065597?hash=item41f2201efd:g:bxIAAOSwN3lco05-
Is this an MOT failure?
It would be possible to:
1) Remove the sticker (VIN is also stamped into steering head), fill, spray.
2) Make a small hole in the flattish back of the triangular tube, insert a thin drift, tap the dent out.
Perhaps there are other possibilities.

There's no apparent structural integrity issue in the pic I can't see a tester being bothered at all by it. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
