Well after weeks of looking i have finally got my bike sv650. I went to guildford earlier to collect it in a van. Eventually got the bloody thing in the van and brought it home. Only to find out when i got home the bike had slipped of the paddock stand. So now i have a lovely scratch on the rear hugger
Other then that i am well pleased and am itching to take it for a spin
I will post pic of it tomorrow |

That nearly allways happens, during transport, or the first few days of overship bikes allways get scuffed/damaged. Just dont beat yourself up over it and learn from it.
SV's are lovely bikes which combine good looks, practicality, good handleing with a bargin pricetag. The only faults found with it are from hardcore superbikers who could find fault with anything, so dont listen
Unfortunatly you've picked a tough time of the year to start due to the weather, but so long as its dry and you wrap up warm you will still have huge amounts of fun on it!
So wait till its dry and get on those country lanes! |

I've had my bike for a week and half now, and have done over 600 miles I'm just starting to feel comfortable on it. So stick with it |

Getting one with a full fairing was a wise choice!
I was thinking about getting one for a while, but i was really put off by the look of the thing (tart i know... ) But as soon as i saw one with a full fairing i completly changed my opinion of its looks. I guess it just look incomplete with only the front fairing.
Well done for buying a whole one |

I want an SV if I pass my test next year! ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. IMO
Car driving doesn't count for /that/ much unless you have the awareness and observationbal skills that are required for riding a bike on the road. In my experience very few car drivers have this.
Personally I would say that getting a 125 for a bit is the right thing to do, but also bear in mind that in the RiDE magazine survey conducted each year the RS125 is always the most crashed bike!
Get the bike, take it easy and act like everyone on the road is out to get you and you will hopefully do well! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Old Thread Alert!
