Well if your batterys flat you can either recharge it, jump start the bike and go for a long ride to charge it up a bit or you could run up and down the road trying to bump it maybe in an attempt to get it running again but if the batterys that flat bumping it may not work. Thats assuming the battery is flat.

BTW, bump starting is where you put the bike into second gear, push it down the road until you're going near 10 mph, then slowly let the clutch out whilst still pushing. The wheels turn the engine over in place of the starter motor, so it works if the battery is flat. As soon as the engine catches, pull the clutch in, hop on and ride away.

Be careful though, and don't blame me if you drop the bike and break the plastics. Whistle

If it's cold, then you'll probably need some choke to get it started. Using the choke puts more petrol into the engine, so it's easier to start.

It may not work if the CDI unit/Immobiliser relies on the battery to work... Wink

I know what bump starting is dude, some bikes will not start when you try and bump them if the battery is pretty flat, especially fuel injected bikes as they need a good 12v in the first place to get the things going.

It wasn't aimed at you, just you mentioned it and I thought I'd make it clearer.

And clearer you made it Smile
When I re read it I had a little feeling that it may not of been aimed at me, so, all's well with the world, apart from this machine that doesn't start.
