Well, my main beam bulb on the left has gone, so I'm asking:

Can I get LED Cluster bulbs for the NSR? just something a little brighter than what I have?

Also, I've noticed my spare brake disc is warped. Anywhere I can get it skimmed flat again?

standard NSR125R lamps are 25w, l changed mine to 35w which worked fine and gave a good improvement in lighting

Doesn't that mean your battery isn't charged as much by the alternator thingie?

Yes the brighter bulbs will consume more power, but a few watts is nothing much to worry about.

Disks can be pressed/skimmed, but you have to find somewhere able to do it, and its probably not going to be cheap.

I was just about to ask a similar question. I've been browsing google for main beam lights but there's so many choices.

Whats the best for standard 12v supply? As in brightest.

Cheers

I run higher watt bulbs on the ZXR, never had any problems with it. The battery has been totally dead before (don't leave your parking light on for a few days Rolling Eyes) and it gets charged up fine.

Going up a few watts is OK and wont do any harm.

If you put much higher wattage bulbs in, you need to be carefull not to overload the wiring and set your bike on fire, best to use relays in this case.

Xenon bulbs give out a more blue light than normal ones, it is simply the type of gas they fill the bulb with. So long as the wattage is broadly similar to standard, they shouldn't cause any problems.

Providing the wattage is the same and the bulb is the same type (ie the shape of it so the reflector gives you the correct beam pattern). No problem.

Still don't know where to get the bulbs from, or the disc sorted...
...I can fit the bulbs when I fix the fairing.
