Would anyone know the wire colours that allow me to tweak the sensitivity on this device or turn the movement sensor off? The wind only has to blow and it's off, and certain young hands like to poke as they walk past in the garage, driving me nuts, I believe there are a few options into configuration by grounding certain colour wires?

Any info will reduce headache Thumbs Up

Same problem here. Only thing is-i dont have the ignition power to turn the bugger off. The oval button disable the movement sensor don't it??

Actually-ignore me. Razz

I think it's the triangle button to turn off the movement sensor, after the alarm has armed.

Yes, the triangle button disables it.
But, I want to either turn it off permanantly as I am not always there to do it and do not want to rely on other household members
or adjust the sensitivity.

It should show you in the manual if you have it.

I did this on my datatool evo and I'm pretty sure I read the details from a manual that came with it.

You cannot completly turn off a datatool. Only put it in service mode, turn of the movement sensor or take it off completly. If you could it cannot be classed as an immobiliser and insurance compnanies would not give discount. It is a feature of the alarm. I think the newer Datatools have the movement sensor inside the box rather than seperate like the old models and from memory of putting them on Ducati's you can re position the box to decrease the sensitivity. Or maybe im taking rubbish, its been a few years since i've done one.

I have a Triumph Datatool Veto Evo manual somewhere which is reputed to be quite in depth. I'll see if I can dig it out. Smile

Hi, no not sorted yet but it's on my list of endless things to do, will more than likely have a gander on Monday when I have all my tools back here.

Had another look through the alarm books/guides I have and can now see that an isolated yellow arms movement detection, grounded yellow manual arming of movement, isolated blue pre-alert mode, grounded blue instant trigger mode, so with them I can turn it off or at least have to manually arm the movement sensor if needed so thanks all thus far Thumbs Up

How about that actual sensitivity now, at the moment all that's needed is a little brush past it and it goes off, could I tweak so it doesn't go off till you give it a big kick or at least get it off the sidestand before it goes off? Is this adjusted by wires or do I tweak a screw somewhere?

as long as the brown wire is isolated it will be set to least sensitive but I think that is in instant trigger mode u could try grounding the blue and yellow but if its to sensitive it will go off straight away so you will have to isolate the blue Thumbs Up
