hahaha, my uncle has blue neos that flash under his car, so he stuck some (fake) aerials on his boot.
we were justt cruising along, then this old woman in a mini gets in our way, he sticks the lights on and tells me to put my head down. the old girl pulls over and we thrash it past her.... was so damn funny, guess you had to be there |

Also slightly annoying if you're riding in a less than 100% legal way or on a less than 100% legal bike.
Can see why the idea of it is funny but its less funny if you're riding and see in your mirrors a blue light and have to decide is it a boi racer or actual police. |

Going along the a470, a long time ago i had the same thing happen to me .
Lights started flashing in the car behind grill, shit myself, pulled over quickly on the hard shoulder ready for the "do you know what speed you were doing speach".
Then the git carries on going, could have sworn he's going to pull me.
Anyway as i was in my mx5 at the time i thought "WANKER", must have been had by kids !!!
Caught the fuckers up !,cut them up (BTW this is before i calmed down,so dont flame me ! grown up a bit since then ! ) and blew them away . Eat my shit ! ha !
Well turned out according to my brother it might be mountain rescue out on a call ! Felt really guilty after.
Its the volvo and the merc's which you gotta watch out for ! ____________________ Ducati 916,white framed corse replica https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=239309

I have blue neons on my bike, but they are tucked up in the fairing, very subtle. Mainly for visability, I have black leathers and a black bike and after being missed by inches by a wally who didn't see me I put the neons on. The new bike is silver and a bit easier to see.
If I ever thought the neons freaked anyone out, I would take them off. ____________________ https://www.bebo.com/Z1000-Wildkat |

(Wildcat) Your neons are not flashing or in a place a Police bike would have them. Think your safe
There is no way you could use them to intimidate others for self amusement. |

Instead of making people think you're a cop car, get yourself a nice loud set of air horns from somewhere like here. Person cuts you up so sound the air horn at them and watch them crap themselves as they think they're about to be flattened by a lorry.
Or you could get one meant for a boat. |

I see a few cars a day with relays wired throught their headlights so the flash like "Left, Right, left, right and so on.."
Yo can get nicked for "Inpersinating a Police officer" Not sure what section, Il ask my dad

Well some people do blow too much money on stuff for their bike, and it's something different to other tarty stuff so someone might. The cheaper lorry ones compared to the cost of neons or a race can are quite cheap, |

Blue neons are safe as long as they aren't pulsing. Red lights on police vehicles are only on the rear of the vehicle - ie- you can only see them from behind. White lights are forward-facing so if you saw red lights coming up behind you, then i reckon it was someone titting about!
Apparantly, not that i'd ever do this, you can get police strobes fitted to your cars/bikes. So one flick of the switch and you'e got your very own set of lights!
I think some dodgy companies in max power advertise stuff like this. |
