Yeah just sand the surface so the paint has a surface it can stick to.
How you planning to spray the paint (please dont say cans). ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

Halfords paints are good if you use them right.
Sand down your plastic so the paint has a surface to stick to,
Go over with very fine wet and dry to take out the scratch marks of the sand paper,
Apply primer,
Let dry and gently rub with VERY fine wet and dry,
apply more primer,
Etc etc etc.
Do this about 4 times...
Let it dry fully and then you can start applying your paint.
If you are using cans, Be careful of spluttering because they are prone to do it.
Give it PLEANTY of coats of paint. I didnt and Ive Tcut the bike and the grey primer has started to slightly shine through on the back
Then its a case of laquering it up, and polising / buffing.
Geting the colour match will be difficult though, Unless you get it mixed up at a garage, If you do it this way, you will need an airbrush kit...
