Hi
There are just 2 wires that go to the pressure switch on the rear brake master cylinder. Pressing the back brake just connects these 2 wires together, and as such it does not matter which way round they connect to the switch.
As the fuse is blowing when you press the brake then that suggests that the wires is shorting to ground somewhere between the brake light switch and the tail light. For example it could be that the wire from the front brake light is disconnected and touching something that is earthed.

Right i have done it, just looked at the very last page in the manual and it had the wiring diagram and i just used the codes to convert it to the colours.
Its now working great, thanks all and cheers kev for that  |
