dunno how many times ive bought radweld put it in when warm with the engine running and it hasn't worked (I think it's like 5/6 quid a pop aswell?).
It's only a sneaky small leak but it's all dripping down onto my downpipes. ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

Any leak probably means new radiator time. Bike radiators are tiny. Radweld stuff probably block it in the wrong place. Even if it stops a leak you'll only be running on part of the radiator so not very efficient.
FWIW I've always been told the old trick of using an egg works best. Never tried it myself but have had several first hand stories of it working. ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

When I used Barrs Leaks on my ZXR, all it did was block up the the coolant jacket around the head. Probably made it worse to be honest, because when I did the head gasket it was full of that shit. ____________________ '90 TS50 > '04 Senda 125 > '91 ZXR400 > '90 CB-1 > '04 GSX-R1000 > '96 Bandit 600 > '89 ZXR750 H1 > '96 GSX-R750 SRAD > '98 RR-W Fireblade > '98 T595 Daytona > '03 Hornet 900 > '04 Fireblade > '16 GSX-S1000F (x2) > '23 XSR900 |

I though i was having deja vu when i saw this post. Then i realised i'd just seen your post on mig.
Despite the cost i'd get a new one. Even if you bodged the old one up it would probably fail completely sometime in the future and leave you stranded. ____________________ ZXR750L |

super glue and a pair of long nosed pliers can be used to fix leaking fins, l,ve used this method quite a few times to fix small pentrations. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |

There are companys that will rebuild your radiator for £70/80/90 (my cx/b cost 70) appart from buying a new/second hand one this is the best way of going about it..
Have you thought about buying a donor bike?  ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
