190/55 is the BSB size IIRC.
Going from 180/55 to a 190/55, will raise the back end a little, probably make it a little harder to turn in quick, but it will make it a little more stable at high speed on sweeping bends etc. Providing your rear wheel is wide enough to take the extra size in tyre.
190/50 is a whole different kettle of fish.
It has a smaller profile than the 180/55, and it's wider, making it more lardy, and lower at the back end.
My R1 is on a 190/50, and I am looking to go 180/55. Much better size.
I'd stick with what you've got. |

A 190 in theory should give more of a contact patch at most lean angles.
Cant say ive really noticed a difference between the 2, other than on my old zx6 i used to run close to the edges of the 180 on track and it would cause it to slide/drift ( gotta love supercorsa's!). On 190's that never really happend... ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

It's probably a 180 as standard, so i'd keep it to 180, like said above, helps in bends a LOT and a 180 is hardly skinny so you can't upsize on the argument of 'its more stable in a straight line'... bollocks.
Stood still it looks more 'MANLY' but you'll look less 'MANLY' when you get out cornered when you're actually riding .
My mate had one on his gix 750 and he said it looked cool but felt horrible to lean into corners, said it just didn't want to.
Really the negatives well outweigh the single poser positive.
