Possibly a dodgy battery connection mate... CG batteries are not fantastic to start with and if one of the connections is dirty/loose it could cause the problem you have ?
Or a dirty/loose ignition connector ? if one of these is loose or dirty it could cause the same thing... most likely a loose connection somewhere just check your battery terminals and see what condition they are in
cant think of much else on a CG that could cause this kind of problem as there is not much to go wrong on it really |

It's most likely a loose connection or similar. Hit it. That fixed the intermittent problem on the one I use now and again, though taking the battery out to charge it fixed it properly as the terminals got tightened properly. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Don't know if they would have a relay between the ignition switch and the ignition circuit on a CG125. I certainly doubt it on a slightly older one. More modern ones might have some safety interlocks but again, not so sure there would be a relay.
The state of charge of the battery should also make little difference to a kick start CG.
My vote goes for a bad connection in the ignition switch. Get with the WD40. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
