I wouldn't recommend jet washing TBH!
I would recommend taking all the panels off, erm, both panels off, and giving all the frame a good clean.
The GS can rot super quick if not kept shiny, and is proper easy to clean, as nothing is hidden behind bloody big fairings! Just give it a wash, and a spray with scottoil f365, or if you're on a budget, some cheapie silicone spray will keep it looking like new.
Have a look at www.gs500e.co.uk Cracking bunch of guys, and know all there is to know about the GS. Fancy a set of RGV USD forks?

I wouldn't jetwash that bike - It may disintergrate under pressure!
Nah, best way to clean a bike is with hot soapy water and a tub of elbow grease.
You'll prob need to adjust the chain too! ____________________ Where does a turn end? 'Where you can do anything with the gas you want to, where you are brave again, where your attention is free from the turn, where you are sure you can do it better next time; that's the end' - Keith Code. |

Hey, stop slagging of GS500s!
There not that bad at all! I have had a few, and one of them was a cracker.

I used a jetwash once on my GS5,
Broke down 5 miles later
Use a rag and soapy water now
To be fair - most of the electrics arre hidden into the main headlight unit, stear away from blasting that and you should be allright.
Dont forget that the seat leaks, so try not to get any under there - dont want the battery getting too wet now do we? ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

I never use a Jet / Power washer on my Bike, My mate who's a Bike Mechanic (and a very good one at that, has years of experience) bollocked me for using one, he said it can do untold damage in alsorts of places, seals, washers, electrics, etc. etc.
So now me play safe, 2 Buckets of Hot soapy water, and Hand sweeping brush (to do the wheel) and a sponge, BUMMER knowing that I've ggot a power washer in the shed 'n all
