When my ZZR eventually sells https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=79784 hint hint , I'm considering going for a zx6r. The newest model I can afford is the 2003 model. Has anyone owned/riden one of these bikes? Whats the build quality like etc... I found the build quality on my ZZR pretty good apart from the brakes but this may be down to the fact that the bike is nearly 10 years old, previous owners have neglected it or something.
How would the zxr compare to a CBR600f? Baring in mind that the CBRs are more expensive on the second hand market and I'd be looking at a 2000ish model.
Cheers

Ask yoko...he's got one!
I've ridden the fuel injected F...i think it was the 2002 model, and it was alright but from everything i've heard about the ZX6s...i'd get one of those instead. ____________________ wizzzard wrote: Imagine God just stopping by, tidying your front room up and then quietly letting himself out again. There's now about 5 or 6 users on here who have that bike ( I was the first )
They're great bikes, although they are very focused, arse up / head down. ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |

Personally I think the ZX6R is a bit more focussed than the CBR-F, a RR is a more similar comparisson.
It depends on your riding to shich you will prefer. I've the B2h which I think is fantastic. £4k will get you radial brakes, usd forks, 110bhp in a great handling chassis. Your right in thinking the Hondas hold their value better, but the B series Ninjas were the last of the 'scare the hell out you' and have become very popular now. The newer C series is far more compliant, still breath-taking, but without the rawness.
See www.mcnninjas.co.uk/forum/ for some slightly biased advice! |
