Engine/carb noise

Hi,
Beens people have posted threads on engine noises,i thought id ask about mine.(FZ 750 Genesis)
Spose its like a ticking or a tinny rattle
Like someone said before it goes away after a certain rev range.
But also it doesnt happen when the weather is warm or if the bikes been running and warmed up!
So is it valve/camchain related?
A friend suggested it could be a carb problem!Not sure on this though!
Any help would be appreciated

More than likely the cam chain. I'm not sure where the adjuster is on the FZ without looking. I think the chain runs down the middle of cylinders 2 & 3 on the FZ too.

Does the rattle increase with engine speed then dissapear?

Yep adjuster is in the middle too (as camchain) rear of cylinder head,and it does increase then disappear!
Cant afford garage prices though!
Been like it for sometime aswell!
Need a 100 and one things doing also!
