A grand should be easily enough for a two week trip. I didn't spend too much more than that on my 3week trip around Spain, and that was over 4k miles.
Btw, it's good that you have family in Lisbon, because it's a total bastard of a city to navigate around on your own. I must have spent around 5 hours riding around in circles totally lost there ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |

Will most likey be doing that (i,ve still got all my TA cooking/camping gear somewere and don,t mind ruffing it) with the odd youth hostle/hotel stop as a luxury, with camping would l have to find camping site or can you just pitch some were in the middle of no were like people do in scotland/wales? ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |

Free camping is illegal in almost all of Europe (even Scotland and Wales). Just as in the UK, if you are discreet and polite with regards to your surroundings, you will probably be ok. I wouldn't try anywhere near tourist destinations or cities. If asked to move on, do so with no fuss. Be polite and pleasant, and like most things in life, you will fair well.
I would probably recommend against free camping in all but the remotest parts of western europe, but eastern shouldn't be too difficult. ____________________ Travelling around the world...a bit at a time. Where am I now? / Visit my BLOG
