Okay so a few threads ago i was whinging about new tyres, but ive noticed something this weekend........you can confidently corner a cbr125 on its crappy standard tyres
I guess i just let the skinny cheap look scare me right out of it.......
Just wondered if anyone had any advice on how far they will go and how gradual they let slip......And also how to tell when to behave would be helpful. I dont want to find out that they just give up unexpectedly the hard way... ____________________ My eBay Items |

What size are the tyres - I've recommended BT45s a few times
Width is mainly a fashion thing, my old CBR600 has a 130 width rear tyre and is still a fast bike (no sniggering at the back!).
As long as the tyres on in good condition i.e not square at the rear and fronts can go sawtoothed, then you would be able to get your knee down (if you wish!)
Edit : I presume you've read this thread Clicky |

They'll give way eventually. Probably whenever you start trying tight corners at 60. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

So i would liek to know what signs to look for..... ____________________ My eBay Items |

Doesn't the edge of traction feel different in different situations though? such as on corner entry, mid corner and corner exit? also whether your on the brakes, on neutral throttle trailing the brakes, just on neutral throttle, or on the power on the exit? ____________________ My Bikes in order:- Yamaha RXS100 / Suzuki X7 250 / Yamaha RD350LC / Kawasaki
