 |
|
Hi all,
Just making a post to see if im the only one on bcf who got his A-level results today, I got B, B, C, C. Not what i was hoping for but enough for my offer to Brunel to be accepted and confirmed.
I am in two minds about how i should be feeling... I have got what i NEEDED to get, to get where im going .... but BBCC aint 4 A's, But then if i am truthfull i did about a week of revision so i suppose you pays your money and takes your chances...
Anyone else here got good/bad news? |

About 96-97% of the sixth form, with 24% of them very happy.
They really ought to go back to a quota system or give the mark out as a percentage score instead of A-E. What's the point having an exam that nearly everyone passes and in which it's impossible to discriminate between the top quarter in each subject? I'm not going to bother about the argument that the exams are getting easier each year.
As for your BBCC - you didn't need AAAA to get in so WELL DONE and when you have your degree, no-one will really be that bothered what grades you got at A level. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

dmahon, I agree, the A-E grading system is a farce, should be percentages. And cheers.

I think that suits me ok, truthfully, i dont know what i want to do with my life just yet and if university gives me some direction, some qualifications (for what they are worth), and the social side side on top, it will give me some time to find out where im at, and perhaps see some of the world before i am forced into mindnumbing boredom everyday... In my situation (financial) i wont incurr much debt (touch wood). So why not? it will be an experience either way. |

Didn't do them, and I still got into uni!
Well done to you all for sticking it through with them, and good luck in whatever you choose to do next, and remember if your off to uni, as long as they get you on the course you want, that's all you need. People just look at the degree after that! ____________________ If you ate Stephen Hawking, would that count as one of your "five a day" portions? |

Well done those who got their results, MementoMori don't be disheartened, clearances mean people can get onto university courses without the 'required' grades, and you can always retake if needs be.
I'm waiting for mine to be posted home - I was supposed to be on holiday so couldn't collect them. |

Screw GCSEs, 5 Cs and you're sorted - just enough to get into A levels. Universities never look at them, and any job that doesn't require A level qualifications doesn't require GCSE qualifications either.
I got CCC for my A level exams. Amazing really, I didn't revise one iota. |

Hell yeah, being at Coventry I bet I have to share a flat with a bunch of Muslims plotting to blow up a plane or something.
I bet I end up doing all the cooking as well, just cause I can.
I think our flats are both male and female though, so should be good, they can stay in the kitchen or something. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
