Its time to put an end to this!

As a novice rider riding an ER6n I will, at some point, be resting my bum on one of these.

So which is best?

PLEASE DEBATE UNTIL YOUR HEART'S CONTENT!

The Kawasaki isn't a 600, 636 so if you want the fastest then that's it. Comfort then don't go for the CBR. Other then that i'd guess there pretty close.

If you're got the 636 in a 600 debate, then why not have the triumph 675 as well?

Actually for 2007 the Kawasaki is reverting back to 600cc.

Because the 636 is reverting back to 599, as my good friend above has kindly pointed out.

Also, I wouldn't consider buying a triumph as I've heard too many horror stories over reliability. (NB// Can anyone confirm?)

636 Wink not biased or anything... its the lightest of the (2006 600) class after the triumph 675, and the 37cc extra gives it that bit of extra oomph in the midrange. Very noticeable over the CBR600 of the same year (thought the new ugly version is going to put out 118bhp apparently). Go look at standing quarters.
It also sounds wild with a race can Mr. Green
I even find it quite comfy once you've built some muscle in your legs to grip the tank.
Looks are subjective, some people even like those dreadful gixxers Wink in reality, you might as well pick which one you like the look of most.

Agree with Siggi there, the CBR for those reasons. But in reality I'd just get a GSXR750, it's renowned as 'the perfect 600'.

You'll find fans of all four bikes. You've just got to sit on them & test ride them yourself to see what suits you.

I know people who have ridden all generations of the 'new' triumphs, from Sprint STs, Speed Triples, Tigers, Daytona 650s and also 2 with the new 675.. no one's had any significant problems, except for one daytona 650 that lunched it's engine at a trackday.

Other than that, no one's complained about reliability at all..

Yamaha are doing a recall on the XV1600 custom, as the gearbox can jam.. guess that means you don't want to consider an R6 either
