What paint did you use there ? Not seen HRP that is brushable.
Used to use sprayable stuff many moons ago on my 2 stroke's worked well, as has been said you need to spend a good amount of time preping and not just spraying over the old rust... ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I think the problem many people have with exhaust paint is that they don't sufficiently cleanse the surface beforehand.
Any minor particles or residues will inhibit the rather crucial bond between paint and metal, and in a high-temperature high-corrosion area like an exhaust the most minute inhibition will lead to flaking.
I may be wrong but I believe a sandblasting and a chemical bath of some kind is the best way, and anything short is not ideal. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |
