If the engine bars were the only thing to go down then you should be fine.
Reason it wouldnt start was probably flooded carbs when the bike went down. Nothing to worry about.
Gotta happen some time hasnt it ____________________ Bike: Yamaha XJ600N Mileage: 28500 Miles Rider Mileage: Many Miles

liquids in the engines and carbs going the wrong way,
for example when I lowslided my cg it wouldnt start for a few minutes, I put it down to oil going all to one side of the engine along with carbs being shook up.
Cheers

Dont panic as said it not unusual for a bike to do that after they have been laid over.
Both of my kwakas did it.
Just leave it there while ya at work and dont worry about it.
Chances are it will be right to go when you are finished.
Everything settled back where it should be.
Just dont be tempted to keep turning it over and over else you will end up with a dead battery.
Leave it as long as you can before you try again.
You may also find a bump start may be required.
Seemed to work for me but I was heading down hill
Also dont worry too much if when you get it going it runs as rough as gutts for a few miles.
Ive found riding it until it starts to lose power and then just giving the throttle a bit of a back and forth for a bit seems to clear it out.
It will sort itself so dont get too worked up about it ____________________ meh |

Oh Cath, I read that and felt that 'oh shit' moment with you as the bike reaches the point of no return and you helplessly try to get out of the way!
I hope your shoulders/back etc are feeling better.
You'd got to drop the bike at some point, so better a slow descent in a car park with people to help than in the middle of a busy junction (like what I managed to do... ) ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

Ride home was ok but I was a little nervous about it don't know why. Seems it made me a bit un nerved! The wind was awful on the motorway battering my head left and right ended up quite dizzy by the time I got to the petrol station near home.
Didnt come on the bike today as my back is really sore so gave it a miss. Hopefully back on her again tomorrow as the weather is lovely and I hope my back feels better.
Quite scary though knowing that I cant pick my own bike up if she ever fell over
If you have ever met me I am not a small lass and I "thought" I was fairly strong, ah well there is always a nice man around to lend a hand. |

In the enthusiasm to get your 'bike back upright, be careful not to get carried away and flip it over on to the other side...
Not that I've ever done, this, oh no... ____________________ Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.
