Just ring up and tell them they put some details wrong on the paperwork, no commuting when there should be and IAM where the shouldn't be. Just say it as if it's just a clerical error you want fixing and they should just say ok, i've sorted that and will send replacements out no charge, always works for me.
Works with mileage too, if you want to increase you limit they seem to change it for free afterwards if you make out it's been an admin error, but if you increase your mileage in the quote it boosts your premium a lot, did this when I insured the Pontiac. They wanted an extra £200 if I insured it for 10k per year rather than 7.5k, so I insured it for 7.5 then 3 weeks later rang up and got it changed to 10K for free because it was an error.... |

Well my previous best quote was £700, and they've honoured the price of £290 even though it blatently should be well more.
Thumbs up to MCE, someone's getting fired today tho I think

If you are adamant that you told them differently to what they have provided then ring them up and kick off. Many companies now have telephone voice recording and they can go back and listen to the advisor accepting the quote. Make sure you tell them you want you complaint logged and details of the FSA complaints procedure enclosed with their response (they have to send it anyway but will show you mean business)
I recently done this and got £50 as a gesture of goodwill along with the cover I should have had at no extra charge.

Surely, someone who rides their motorcycle everyday would be more skilled than a Fairweather rider and thus more safe...
Maybe adding the annual mileage to the equation as well, so a lower annual mileage = a shorter route to work and back = less risk = less premium.

My Pontiac is insured with MCE too, but they didn't actually put anything down wrong on my policy, they just got told they did They have tried to screw me many years ago for something else but endless phonecalls to managers got it sorted, wasn't a clerical error was them being devious lying gits. |

Speaking of Carol Nash, I currently have my ZXR insured with them and decided to do an online quote for the 916.
It came in at £277 fully comp, but I closed the window by accident! So, went through the process again, everything exactly the same but this time the quote came back from a different underwriter as £144. Needless to say I nearly choked on my cuppa tea and quickly went ahead and brought it!!
Now why they didn't give me that quote in the first place puzzles me!

Still take a bit of work to beat what I had.
About three months into my policy I received new document. I thought this was odd. When I looked they were for someone with a different name, address, bike, everything. But now I know Mr Smith doesn’t have any security in his garage but does have a nice 07 reg cbf600. I called the company involved and they didn’t seam that bothered just said to put the documents in the bin!
