 |
|
My SRAD GSXR 600 is jerking in 2nd gear sometimes If I roll on at low revs (~3k) it sometimes jolts at about 6/7k (I think) for a split second, then carries on accellerating. I'm pretty sure the revs aren't rising in that split second, so I'm thinking it's either fuelling or gearbox? It seems to only happen in 2nd gear though, so probably more likely to be gearbox? That's as far a my mechanical knowledge goes atm (I'm learning!) so what do you guys reckon?
Thanks a lot.
(The bike is new to me btw, so if this is something like damage from clutching up wheelies it's not my fault ) ____________________ 1999 GSX-R 600, 1999 TL1000R |

Yes it could be, no advice shoul dbe taken as gospel especially on here as there's first-hand inspection. Very good point.
Gixxers do have a rep for jumping the 2nd gear dogs though. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Suzukis suffer it because for some reason they don't under-cut the 2nd gear dog. My own theory is that it's something to do with the wider ratio differential between 1st and 2nd than the other gears but TBH who knows? ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
