Always going to be a 2 piece... simply because it's easier to get out of when you're desperate for a pee ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

I'm a two piece guy (mainly because I'm too fat to have a one piece!) and its a mixture of leather and textile.
I've started zipping them together and it feels nice and snug (I'd say a bit like a one piece, at a guess). ____________________ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007 RIP

You just can't beat slipping in to leather.
Two piece is my preference for two reasons:
1. Ease of use.
2. The girlfriend loves the look of leather jeans and a t-shirt, and who am I to argue.

2 piece most of the time. I'm not the shape for 1 piece and the peeing thing is a consideration... all you ever hear in the ladies loo at Boxhill is someone cursing about their one-piece.

Well after my first year of biking i've only really owned 2-piece leathers and I wore them all year round. If it was raining pretty heavy I just wore thin waterproof trousers and waterproof coat over the top of them. Now that I think about it, it never rained all that much when I've been out on the bike. I think I got caught once without the waterproofs in a heavy downpour. That wasn't much fun.
The leathers I have just now are your standard black leathers. Not sporty ones which I shall be buying before summer comes. But it will be a 2-piece definetely. I take my bike everywhere and I don't really fancy sitting at my mates or at the local pub stuck in a 1-piece race suit. I think the leather trousers and t-shirt look good aswell. ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing |

Bit of both. I have a leather and a textile jacket, but tend to stick to the textile (warmer). I usually stick with the waterproof trousers or a pair of green trousers from the bottom half of a chemical protective suit! Very warm. I'm buying proper leather trousers when I get my new bike. Does anyone know where I can get erm.........smaller trousers as I am only just over 5ft tall! Cheers ____________________ Sweet reggae music. |

I use one piece and ride all year round, whatever the weather.During winter i put a zip up tracksuit jacket on top to stop wind chill.

2-piece leathers myself
I find them much more handy, especially as I'm a lazy bugger who would use the 'hassle' excuse far too many times to avoid wearing a 1-piece. Best thing is you can go out somewhere on the bike and still look okay in a bikers jacket and jeans, whereas if you had a power ranger outfit on you'd look and feel a prawn if it was a non-biker event. I've only used the trousers when out for a fast ride etc, and that's only because of the knee sliders if I'm really honest ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

I used to be one of those idiots that you see with T-shirt and shorts on my bike. Sometimes just shorts and sometimes jeans and a jumper. For the cold weather I did wear a coat as well, that was until one night I came off in my jeans and a fleece top.
Had a bit of gravel rash all the way down my right side, and broke every rib on the left. Sort of encouraged me to start wearing a touch of protection. Don't think I'd go on a bike without protective gear ever again. |

Well it's 2 piece all the way for me. I got a silver and black leather jacket and I was a bit disappointed that there were no trousers to match it at the time. But thinking about it now the black leather trousers were the best bet as the go with my Textile jacket as well. All belstaff gear so both jackets zip to the jeans which is good . I'm definitely going to get textile trousers soon as well because sliding them over my jeans is easier when going to work and stuff. ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |
